Forwarding SMS
Having bought a brand new iPhone from the only company here in Denmark who sells iPhones, Telia, I really can't wait for the day my subscription expires and I can move to anohter telco.
In the meantime a need to forward all my calls and SMS' to my new number. This however is not as simple as it seems. Even though there is call-forwarding on the network there is no SMS-forwarding. It should be possible to forward SMS by pushing: ##16##new number[call] - this results in a rather weird error on my phone. So I figure the only way to forward SMS is letting the phone stay turned on, and forward all SMS by sending a copy of the incoming SMS to the new number.
A have an only Nokia 6600 lying around and have set the terminal up as a forwarding station by downloading SMS forwarder light from Wireless Labs. I works fine, the phone is set to silent, and forwards all calls and SMS nicely. I only have to run this setup for a limited time, if this was a permanent solution I would have upgraded the lite version for 10 Euro to get a the name of the person who SMS me, instead of my own name. Also the 10 euro would be well spent, the get rid of the "Powered by Wireless Labs" text that is appended to all SMS.
